Odesa region is among the top three regions in terms of the number of newly imported cars from abroad in 2024.
According to analysts of the Opendatabot platform, 20,070 vehicles were imported to the territory of Odesa region this year.
Kyiv ranks first, with 36,780 cars registered, and Lviv region is second, with 28,029 cars. In total, 273,219 vehicles were imported to Ukraine in the first 8 months of 2024.
Volkswagen became the most popular brand among Ukrainians: 30,175 cars (11%). The ranking also includes Renault - 20,664 cars, AUDI - 16,021, NISSAN - 15,051, and BMW - 13,531 cars, respectively.
According to analysts, Volkswagen was the most popular car brand in 23 out of 24 regions of Ukraine. The only exception was the capital: in Kyiv, freshly imported Toyotas are more often registered, and in Chernihiv region, Renault is more popular.
In Odesa region, Nissan Leaf dominates, and Lviv region is notable for its love of Audi Q5. Kirovograd region prefers Volkswagen Tiguan.
Earlier, Odesa region was ranked third in terms of the number of addresses where companies are massively registered, and Mykolaiv region was seventh.
Odesa region also ranked fifth in terms of the number of individual entrepreneurs registered during the first quarter of 2024.
In addition, Odesa region became the second region of Ukraine in terms of the number of companies that have relocated since the beginning of 2022.
Last year, Odesa region was also ranked third in terms of the number of electric cars registered in the region, behind only Lviv and Kyiv.
Odesa also has the most expensive coffee in Ukraine, the seventh largest number of active churches of the Moscow Patriarchate in Ukraine, and is among the leaders in the number of people who like to set off fireworks during the war.
