In 2025, the municipal enterprise "Miskzelentrest" planned to plant 1500 young trees in Odesa.

This was reported by the Odesa City Council.

They explained that currently, greenkeepers are actively removing old stumps throughout the city with the help of new equipment - a Rotor Speedy 80/100 stump grinder and a KATA KF1404 tractor. This makes it possible to speed up the process considerably: if earlier it took 12 hours to uproot one stump manually, now this work is done in just 40 minutes.

As of March 5, 312 stumps out of the planned 422 have already been removed. In their place, large-sized trees will be planted, including white acacia, sycamore maple, common ash, Japanese sophora, eastern sycamore, catalpa bignonii, and heart-leaved linden.

Earlier, trees were planted in Odesa to honor the memory of fallen soldiers. The action took place near the Odesa Regional State Administration building, in the Glory and Freedom Park. The relatives of the fallen soldiers joined the event, assisted by employees of the municipal enterprise Miskzelentrest. As part of the event, 49 trees were planted, including oaks and ash trees.

Meanwhile, the municipal enterprise Specialized Utility Service Enterprise conducted a procurement in the format of an open tender with special features. The tender states that 57 trees need to be removed. Of these, 44 are located at the Second Christian Cemetery on Lustdorf Road. Nine more are at the Trinity Cemetery on Lenselishche and four at the cemetery on Biblioteka Street.

Intent also wrote that a forestry campaign was held in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. In the fall, foresters planted more than 23 million tree seedlings.
