Odesa Mayor Trukhanov Appoints Serhiy Gurov as Anti-Corruption Chief

Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov has appointed a new head of the Department for the Prevention of Corruption of the Odesa City Council.

As stated in the mayor's order, it is Serhiy Gurov.

The department, among other things, develops, organizes and controls measures to prevent corruption and corruption-related offenses in the executive bodies of the Odesa City Council. Controls compliance with anti-corruption legislation in executive bodies, municipal enterprises and institutions of Odesa City Council. Ensures protection of subordinate employees of executive bodies of Odesa City Council who have reported violations of the Law of Ukraine On Prevention of Corruption from negative measures of influence by their direct supervisor in accordance with the legislation on whistleblower protection.

It also informs the mayor, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, and other specially authorized entities in the field of anti-corruption about violations of legislation in the field of preventing and combating corruption.

In January, Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov appointed a new acting director of the municipal institution "Service Office "Veteran Hub". Volodymyr Yermakov was appointed to act as the director. He will head the Hub Veteran Service Office temporarily, for the period until the position of director of the said municipal institution is filled in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine.

Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trekhanov also appointed the heads of one utility company, two institutions and one department at the end of 2024.
