Trukhanov appoints interim head of Veteran Hub

Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov has appointed a new acting director of the municipal institution Hub Veteran Service Office.

The corresponding order was published by the press service of the Odesa City Council.

Volodymyr Yermakov will act as the new director. He will head the Hub Veteran Service Office temporarily, for the period until the position of director of the said municipal institution is filled in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine.

The Hub Veteran municipal institution has been operating on the basis of the Center for the Provision of Administrative Services since 2023.

Municipal Institution "Hub Veteran" is a budgetary non-profit institution of the territorial community of Odesa, established in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine". The founder of the institution is the Odesa City Council. The institution is accountable and controlled by the founder. The authorized body - the Department of Labor and Social Policy of the Odesa City Council - coordinates the activities of the Institution. The institution was established to implement the state policy on veterans' affairs in the city of Odesa and to ensure the transition of war veterans and demobilized persons from military service to civilian life.

In this space, Ukrainian military personnel will be able to receive a full range of social services, legal protection, as well as expert advice and counseling on treatment, rehabilitation, psychological assistance, employment, starting their own business, etc. The Veteran's Hub also takes care of and helps the families of fallen defenders, as well as military personnel who have been disabled as a result of the war.

On November 23, the executive committee of the Odesa City Council approved the Odesa Veteran program for 2024-2026. The total budget of the program is UAH 406 million, of which UAH 138 million was spent in 2024.
