In 2024, the deputy mayor of Odesa, Valeriy Silin, received a salary increase of UAH 668,000, and his wife bought an expensive electric car.

According to the Center for Public Investigations, this is evidenced by the official's declaration published by the NACP.

Compared to 2023, there have been some significant changes in the financial situation of the Silin family. In particular, the official's main income has increased significantly. While in 2023 his salary amounted to UAH 457,915, in 2024 it increased to UAH 1,126,081. The pension remained almost at the same level - UAH 641,560 in 2024 compared to UAH 641,556 in 2023.

Also, the official's wife, Larysa Silina, significantly increased her wealth: in 2024, she purchased a 2022 Tesla Model 3 AWD electric car for UAH 750,000.
In 2023, the family had three cars: A 2021 Toyota RAV4 owned by Valeriy Silin himself, and two Nissan Rogue (2018 and 2017) owned by Larysa Silina. The 2024 declaration no longer lists these Nissans, which may indicate that they were sold.

The situation with cash savings has changed. While in 2023 Valeriy Silin had UAH 1,452,000, in 2024 this amount decreased to UAH 837,000. In contrast, his wife's savings remained stable: in 2023, she kept USD 27,000, and in 2024, she already had USD 28,000, adding UAH 283,000 in national currency.

As for the loan obligations, Valeriy Silin continued to repay the loan to Credit Agricole Bank JSC, which was taken out in 2021. As of the beginning of 2024, the debt amounted to UAH 408,903, and during the year he paid UAH 153,339 of principal and UAH 40,716 of interest. At the end of the period, the debt balance decreased to UAH 255,564.

The family's real estate remained unchanged: the couple and their son continue to own a 144.4 sq. m. apartment in Odesa, which they purchased in 2013 for UAH 1,358,810.

Valeriy Silin has been working in Odesa City Council since October 18, 2023. First, he served as acting deputy mayor and administrator of the Executive Committee, and since December - as deputy mayor. Prior to that, he held various positions at Pivdenny Bank for 12 years, and before that, he worked at the prosecutor's office.

Intent has already written that last year, Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov earned UAH 1 million 116 thousand 505 in his position, compared to UAH 293 thousand 169 that he declared as his salary in 2023, which is 3.8 times more.
