Khadzhybeyskyi District Court of Odesa found a lieutenant colonel of the National Guard of Ukraine guilty of declaring false information and fined him UAH 59,500.

The court also banned him from holding positions related to the implementation of organizational, administrative and economic functions at enterprises, institutions and organizations of all forms of ownership, as well as in formations, military units and subdivisions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for a period of one year.

The prosecutor 's office proved in court that the convicted head of the service of unmanned aerial vehicles of the NGU military unit, in order to conceal his rights to real estate and vehicles that were privately owned and jointly owned in 2022, intentionally failed to disclose information about them. In that declaration, the data presented differed from the truth by UAH 2 million 891 thousand 56.5.

The following year, when submitting his declaration, the lieutenant colonel again concealed the presence of real estate objects totaling UAH 2 million 46 thousand 472.

The accused, interrogated in court, pleaded guilty to the criminal offense and repented.

Meanwhile, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has published a list of 10 declarations in which violations were found during a full inspection, and the list includes the declaration of a deputy of the Odesa Regional Council for 2023, which was found to be inaccurate. Agency employees found signs of unreasonable assets worth more than UAH 1.8 million and signs of inaccurate information worth more than UAH 28.7 million. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has launched a pre-trial investigation into the matter.
