The Odesa regional CCC and JV told us what happened during the check of military registration documents. The man suddenly began to behave aggressively and was injured.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional CCC and JV.

The Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support reported the incident, which resonated on social media. On February 9, during a public awareness campaign in Odesa, a joint group of military personnel from the CMC and JV together with a representative of the National Police stopped a man to check his military registration documents. During the check, it turned out that he was wanted for violating the rules of military registration.

The officials suggested that the man go to the unit to clarify the information, and he agreed. However, on the spot, he suddenly became aggressive and deliberately injured himself. The servicemen provided first aid and called paramedics, after which the man was hospitalized in a specialized medical facility.

On the morning of February 10, while in the hospital, the patient again committed an attack of aggression, threatening the medical staff. Due to the danger, he was isolated in a special room with limited access. The facts of the incident are documented and confirmed by eyewitnesses.

The CCC and the JV also denied rumors spread on social media about the alleged mistreatment of the dog, which belonged to the man. During the hospitalization, the animal was provided with care and food, and on February 10, it was returned to its relatives in a satisfactory condition.

The management of the Odesa Regional SPCA initiated an internal investigation to assess the actions of all participants in the incident. At the same time, the agency called on the public and the media to observe information hygiene and not to spread manipulations, reminding that compliance with the rules of military registration during martial law is mandatory and legal.

In early February, the court approved an agreement between the prosecutor and one of the participants in the attack on the TCC and JV alert groups at the 7 Kilometer market in October 2025. The court released him from serving his sentence with a probationary period of three years.
