A resident of Odesa region was found guilty of obstructing the work of military TCCs near the 7 kilometer market. One soldier was injured.

This is stated in the verdict of the Ovidiopol District Court of Odesa region.

A resident of Odesa region was convicted of obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during mobilization activities near the 7 Kilometer market. Due to the actions of the accused, the movement of the military convoy was blocked, and one of the servicemen was injured.

As the court found, the man, along with other people, deliberately blocked the movement of the military convoy. He was lying down on the hood of a military vehicle, ignoring the legal requirements of the military and trying to stop the movement of equipment in every possible way.

During the incident, another participant in the events began hitting the vehicle with a metal stick, and another with a metal object that looked like a muffler element. As a result of these actions, the servicemen were injured, and one soldier temporarily lost his eyesight after being tear-gassed.

In reaching its verdict, the court took into account the defendant's sincere remorse, his cooperation with the investigation and the absence of previous convictions. The man fully admitted his guilt and entered into a plea agreement with the prosecutor.

The court approved the plea agreement, which was concluded on January 15, 2026, by the prosecutor of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office and the accused in the framework of criminal proceedings.

The man was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 28 and Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. By agreement of the parties, he was sentenced to five years in prison.

At the same time, the court released him from serving this sentence with a probationary period of three years. If during this time the man does not commit a new crime and fulfills his duties, there will be no real imprisonment. In particular, he has to periodically report to the probation office and inform them of any changes in his place of residence, work or study.

The court ruled to return the material evidence in the case - cell phones, clothes and a bag - to the owner.

The measure of restraint in the form of detention in the Odesa pre-trial detention center was changed to a personal commitment. The defendant was released from custody right in the courtroom.

In October, the Security Service of Ukraine launched a criminal investigation into the obstruction of the activities of TCC and JV employees at the 7 Kilometer market. During mobilization activities in Odesa, a group of civilians attacked TCC soldiers near the industrial market, using tear gas and turning over a vehicle.
