In Ochakiv, the court extended the detention of a woman accused of attempting to commit a terrorist attack against a Ukrainian military. According to the investigation, she acted on the instructions of Russian special services and tried to blow up the car of the commander of the military unit.

This is evidenced by the ruling of the Ochakiv City District Court.

According to the pre-trial investigation, the woman agreed to fulfill the task of representatives of the Russian special services, who contacted her via the Telegram messenger and offered a monetary reward for blowing up the car of a Ukrainian serviceman.

The investigation established that at the end of August 2025, the accused received instructions to prepare a terrorist attack. She arrived at the specified address, where she found homemade explosives, and subsequently rented a room in a hotel building. There, the woman purchased a cell phone and a portable battery, installed a special application for remote control, and prepared equipment for video surveillance of the facility.

Later, she identified the target - a Nissan car used by a military unit commander. On the night of August 28, the woman placed an explosive device under the bottom of the vehicle and installed a mobile phone for remote monitoring and possible detonation of the explosive.

According to the investigation, the woman performed all the actions she considered necessary to carry out the terrorist attack. However, she did not manage to complete the crime - she was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine.

The prosecutor filed a motion with the court to extend the measure of restraint in the form of detention for 60 days without bail. In court, the prosecutor insisted that the risks of escape and re-committing the crime remained relevant.

The defense, in turn, objected to this decision, emphasizing the lack of sufficient evidence and proposing alternative measures of restraint - bail or round-the-clock house arrest with an electronic bracelet. The lawyers also stated that in the event of prolonged detention, they could apply to the European Court of Human Rights.

The court, having considered the arguments of the parties, upheld the position of the prosecutor's office and extended the pre-trial restraint in the form of detention until June 19, 2026, without setting bail.

The SBU also exposed a resident of Mykolaiv for sabotage. According to law enforcement, he was setting fire to Ukrzaliznytsia's energy infrastructure facilities on the orders of the Russian secret service.
