Occupiers attacked the Odesa Thermal Power Plant with missiles and drones: key equipment was damaged

Last night, Russian forces attacked the Odesa Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP), which is part of the Naftogaz Group, with missiles and attack drones.

According to Naftogaz, the attack damaged part of the CHP’s main and auxiliary equipment. Cleanup efforts are currently underway at the site.

Once this work is complete, specialists will conduct a full assessment of the CHP’s technical condition and determine the extent of the damage caused by the Russian strike.

Naftogaz noted that it is coordinating further actions with the relevant agencies and local authorities.

Yesterday, Russian troops launched a massive attack on the Odesa region. The shelling damaged a garment factory building. In one of the settlements in the Odesa district, a residential building caught fire, injuring one person.

In addition, Russian troops attacked the“Orlivka–Isakcha”border crossingonthe Ukrainian-Romanian border overnight. The strike damaged a building at the border crossing and caused a fire.

Also, on August 31, Russian troops struck a“Nova Poshta” terminal in the Odesa region. The building was partially destroyed by the strike, after which a fire broke out.

Recently, the occupiers shelled the Odesa region overnight. The enemy strike hit warehouses wherefood suppliesfor the population were stored.
