On July 13, Russian forces launched a massive attack on the Kherson region using aircraft, artillery, and drones. Three people were killed and 25 others were wounded in the shelling, including one child.

This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

According to him, Kherson and 39 other settlements in the region came under enemy fire. Russian forces targeted residential neighborhoods, critical infrastructure, and social infrastructure. Seven high-rise buildings, seven private homes, an administrative building, a store, a business, a gas station, a cell tower, ambulances, trolleybuses, and private vehicles were damaged.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office added that a 67-year-old woman was killed and another local resident was injured in the morning as a result of artillery shelling in Novovorontsovka. A 58-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries during an airstrike on Kherson. Drones also attacked Kherson, Dudchany, and Novoraysk, where 11 more civilians were injured.

In addition, around 6:00 p.m., Russian forces attacked the grounds of a medical facility in Kherson with a drone. Eleven people were injured in the strike—nine hospital staff members and two patients.

The Kherson City Military Administration reported that Russian drone activity in the community remained at a very high level throughout the day. The occupiers used FPV drones, reconnaissance UAVs, “Molniya”-type strike drones, and mine-laying drones. There were also repeated instances of the threat of guided aerial bombs being used.

The highest activity of enemy drones was recorded in Antonivka, the area around the sea and river ports, the Voenka and Zabalka neighborhoods, Zhitloselishche, and Korabel, near Slava Park, the thermal power plant, the depot, on Zalaegerseg Street, as well as in the central part of Kherson.

The Military Administration also emphasized that Russian forces continue to deliberately target gas stations. Over the past 24 hours, drones struck two gas stations in the Central and Korabel districts of Kherson, resulting in injuries to six people.

Law enforcement agencies have opened criminal cases regarding these Russian attacks under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of the Laws and Customs of War) and are documenting yet another series ofwar crimes committed by the Russian Federation.
