Nine Odesa residents injured in daytime Russian missile attack

A ballistic missile fired by Russia at Odesa on June 5 hit a civilian infrastructure facility and injured people.

According to the press service of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, nine men aged 19-63 were injured in the attack.

All of them are civilians and are currently in hospital. Eight of the injured have moderate injuries, and the 61-year-old man is in serious condition. Judging by the photo that the prosecutor's office used to illustrate this data, the Odesa Sea Port was under attack.

On the night of June 5, an unmanned aerial vehicle hit in Odesa district resulted in the destruction of a private house and a fire. Also, according to the prosecutor's office, a critical infrastructure facility was damaged. The UAV hit caused a fire in an empty warehouse building and equipment. According to the State Emergency Service, one person was injured.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of June 5, the enemy attacked with two X-59/69 guided missiles and 216 Shahed, Gerber, Italmash, Banderol, and Parodya-type attack drones (including jet drones). According to preliminary data, as of 7:30 a.m., air defense defenses neutralized 198 enemy Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones in the north, south, and east of the country. At the same time, 16 attack drones were hit at 13 locations, and the downed drones fell (wreckage) at 12 locations. The guided missiles did not reach their targets.

The day before, Odesa region was also targeted by Russian attack drones. The nighttime attack damaged a critical infrastructure facility, but there were no casualties or injuries.
