New head of physical education department in Odesa keeps $70 thousand in cash

The interim mayor of Odesa, Ihor Koval, has appointed Halyna Didenko as the head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Odesa City Council.

More precisely, as stated in the order, he entrusted her with the duties of the head for the period until the appointment of the head of the department.

Prior to that, she held the position of chief specialist of the department's training and sports department. In her declaration, Halyna Didenko stated that she owns two apartments in Odesa of 53.3 and 75.9 square meters, her husband's apartment in Pivdenne of 62.7 square meters, and a 400-square-meter land plot in the village of Limanka, Odesa district. Her husband also has land plots of 70 square meters and 538 square meters in Odesa.

Ihor Didenko owns a 2012 BMW 525D and a 1987 Dnipro KS-5473B crane. The family's income consisted of Halyna Didenko's 479.4 thousand hryvnias and her husband's 8129 hryvnias. Halyna Didenko had $70,000 in savings, and her husband had $120,000 and UAH 3,510,600 in savings.

In December 2025, acting Odesa Mayor Ihor Koval dismissed Ruslan Puzdrach from the post of head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Odesa City Council. Ruslan Puzdrach had held this position since 2016. He was born on August 18, 1977. He graduated from the Faculty of History of Mechnikov Odesa State University and the Faculty of Physical Education of the South Ukrainian Pedagogical University named after Ushynskyi.

On December 20, Oleksiy Murin was appointed head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Odesa City Council. For a long time, he worked as the deputy head of the department, organizing mass marathons and sporting events.
