In Mykolaiv, changes were made to the organization of traffic on Vadym Blahovisnyi and Pavlo Skoropadskyi streets. Stopping and parking of vehicles on certain sections of these streets has been officially banned.

The decision was made by the executive committee of Mykolaiv City Council on May 27.

According to the document, the new restrictions will be in effect

According to Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych, the changes are being introduced to improve road safety and increase road capacity.

According to him, parked cars on Pavlo Skoropadskoho Street often impede public transport near the city hospital No. 4.

At the same time, Vadym Blahovysnoho Street is part of a national highway with heavy traffic. Cars left on the roadside regularly cause traffic jams and additional risks for other road users.

The municipal specialized installation and maintenance company was also instructed to develop a new traffic scheme and install appropriate road signs.

Recently, Mykolaiv planned to launch a new city bus route connecting the Shyroka Balka neighborhood with the Mykolaiv-Freight station. This is expected to help improve transport links and make getting around the city more convenient for city residents during martial law.

In addition, a new trolleybus route No. 14 was launched in Mykolaiv on April 28, connecting Kazarskoho Street with the old railway station. The route will pass through key transportation arteries, including Pryvokzalna Square, Arkasivska Street, Tsentralnyi Avenue, Kherson Highway, as well as Krugova, Troitska, Elektronna, O. Yanata, and Kazarskoho Streets.
