The Mykolaiv City Council has amended the city's development program for 2024-2026, expanding activities in architecture and urban planning. Particular attention is paid to digitalization and comprehensive restoration of the territories of the Mykolaiv community.

The decision was made at a meeting of the Executive Committee of Mykolaiv City Council.

Mykolaiv City Council has approved amendments to the previously approved Program of Economic and Social Development of the city for 2024-2026. The decision was made on the basis of the legislation on local self-government.

The updated document emphasizes architecture, urban planning and digital transformation of space.

Among the main innovations:

The city also plans to completely update its engineering and topographic base and introduce environmental assessments for all urban planning decisions. Important changes will affect the neighborhoods of Solnechnyi, Matviivka, the area along the Southern Bug, the territory of the 61 Kommunar plant, and others.

In addition, the plan envisages the creation of a master plan for Mykolaiv with a zoning plan, a historical and architectural reference plan, and detailed territory plans for individual districts and neighborhoods, taking into account environmental aspects.

At the end of June, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine established the Coordination Center for Regional Reconstruction. Its main tasks are strategic planning and management of the recovery process, monitoring progress in the affected regions, and interaction with international partners.

In April, the government allocated UAH 1.8 billion to support 180 communities in nine regions most affected by Russian aggression. These regions include Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts.
