Mykolaiv Region Faces Drone Attacks as Air Defense Strikes Back

An attack by Russian troops was repelled in Mykolaiv region. In one community, houses were damaged by a drone attack.

On the night of February 23, air defense forces in the Mykolaiv region destroyed three Shahed 131/136 attack drones.

On February 22, the enemy attacked the Kutsurubska community in Mykolaiv district twice with FPV drones. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

On the same day, at 10:35 a.m., the Halytsynivska community came under attack from an FPV drone. The attack damaged three residential buildings, but no people were injured.

On the night of February 22, the air defense forces destroyed four Shahed 131/136 attack drones over the Mykolaiv region. A similar attack took place the night before, on February 21, when the air defense also shot down four enemy drones.

On February 20, at about 17:05, the enemy attacked the Bashtanka district, probably with an S-300/S-400 missile. The missile fragments fell on a household plot, and the blast wave damaged the windows and doors of several residential buildings. On the same day, the occupiers fired five times at the Kutsurubska community with artillery, attacked the water area of the Ochakivska community, launched a missile strike from tactical aircraft and sent a drone to an industrial facility.

On February 16, an extraordinary commission was convened in Mykolaiv due to a nighttime attack that left more than 100,000 residents without heating. An enemy kamikaze drone hit a critical infrastructure facility, causing serious damage.

A day earlier, on February 15, the wreckage of a UAV fell on the territory of an agricultural enterprise in Mykolaiv district, causing a fire that was quickly extinguished. The blast wave damaged a private house, an educational institution, a boiler house, a water treatment plant, an administrative building, and an outpatient clinic.
