At a conference on Ukraine's recovery in Rome, three communities in Mykolaiv Oblast signed memoranda of cooperation with Ukrainian and Italian companies. These are projects to modernize boiler rooms, improve water supply, and attract international funding.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

Three communities of Mykolaiv Oblast - Koblivska, Novobuzka and Voznesenska - signed memoranda of cooperation during the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025, which takes place on July 10-11 in Rome. The documents were signed with the Ukrainian-Italian company Ukrainian Reconstruction Consortium and the engineering company TC MEGAWATT.

The partnership involves modernizing boiler houses in the Novobuzka and Koblivska communities, creating a modern network of drinking water access points in Voznesenskaya, preparing projects for donor programs, and engaging Italian contractors and international funding. The memorandums came into force upon signing and will be valid for an unlimited period of time.

Mayor Maksym Lahodienko thanked the international partners for their support, emphasizing the importance of infrastructure modernization. In addition, the Koblivska community discussed a water project for 11 settlements with NEFCO Investment Director Bo Nyhus. Its budget is €11.46 million, and a feasibility study has already been developed by the Swedish company Sweco International AB.

According to the press service, representatives of the Mykolaiv region used the conference to find partners, support key infrastructure projects, and attract international resources to restore the region.

In April, the government of Ukraine allocated UAH 1.8 billion to help 180 communities in the nine regions most affected by the war, including Kherson and Mykolaiv. The funds will be used for emergency restoration work after shelling, construction of shelters, purchase of special equipment for utilities and repair of heat and gas networks.
