The reorganization of the Fairy Tale children's town with the Palace of Culture has been delayed due to the lack of an approved transfer deed. The city council believes that the merger will improve the management and development of children's infrastructure, but the commission questioned the availability of the necessary documents.

The decision was made at a meeting of the Standing Committee on Health and Social Protection of the Mykolaiv City Council.

Mykolaiv's Fairy Tale Children's Village was not merged with the Palace of Culture and Special Events. The city council approved the transfer deed and a new version of the charter of the institution, which was supposed to become the successor to the Fairy Tale, but the commission did not support the decision.

According to Viktor Bohdanov, head of the municipal property reform department, a commission has been set up to approve the transfer deed. Thus, the Cultural and Gaming Complex "Fairy Tale Children's Village" is to be reorganized by merging with the Mykolaiv City Palace of Culture and Special Events.

The decision was to be the final stage of the reorganization initiated in 2022. According to it, the city's Palace of Culture was to organize not only concerts and events but also children's entertainment, with a new KVED added to its list of activities: "Organization of other types of recreation and entertainment."

The Palace of Culture was also supposed to be assigned the property of the Fairy Tale, and the changes were to be entered into the state register. Representatives of the city council assured that the merger would help manage resources more efficiently and develop leisure infrastructure for children.

At the same time, Hanna Nord, head of the healthcare commission of Mykolaiv City Council, emphasized that there was no transfer act and asked what the commission members were voting for. In response, they said that funds would be needed, so they needed to vote on the issue. Viktor Bohdanov noted that the transfer deed had been scanned and handed over to the council office.

Earlier, Mykolaiv reorganized its medical institutions to improve the quality of primary care and efficiency in the fight against socially dangerous diseases. The Center for Socially Significant Diseases is being merged with the Primary Health Care Center No. 2 to improve treatment, prevention, and diagnosis.
