On May 27, the executive committee of Mykolaiv City Council will consider raising the tariffs of ELU Avtodorog for processing demolition waste for other communities and third-party customers. The base tariff may increase by almost 17%.

The draft decision was included in the agenda of the next meeting of the executive committee.

The document envisages changes to the decision made in February 2026, when ELU Avtodorog for the first time set tariffs for the processing of construction waste for customers from outside Mykolaiv.

According to the draft, the tariff for processing one ton of waste with delivery to a temporary storage site will increase from UAH 645.07 to UAH 752.64, including VAT. This is 16.7% more than before.

The site for recycling demolition waste in Mykolaiv was launched in the spring of 2025. The city received specialized equipment from international partners, including USAID and JICA programs. As of February 2026, the city budget has already spent about UAH 9.5 million on its arrangement and operation. The director of the utility is Vitaliy Shevchenko. Deputy Mayor Yuriy Andrienko is in charge of the issue at the executive committee.

The recycling scheme will remain unchanged: 75% of the recycled materials will be returned to the customer, 5% will be dust, and another 20% will be taken to a solid waste landfill.

In addition to the basic tariff, the new version of the document changes the principle of calculating the cost of equipment operation. Previously, prices were determined in hryvnias per ton, but now they are proposed to be calculated on an hourly basis.

The reason for the tariff revision was an appeal by ELU Avtodorog dated May 12, 2026. At the same time, the previous tariffs were approved for the company less than three months ago - in February.
