Mykolaiv became one of five cities in Ukraine that made it to the next stage of selection in the project to create municipal rental housing. The city's concept has been submitted for evaluation to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council.
According to the results of the selection by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development, the Mykolaiv project was identified as one of the most prepared and promising. Along with Mykolaiv, the top five also includes Lviv, Zhytomyr, Kremenchuk, and Kropyvnytskyi.

The Ministry of Finance is currently evaluating the financial model of the project and the possibility of attracting credit financing without putting an excessive burden on the budget. International partners are also involved in the process.
Earlier, Ihor Nabatov , First Deputy Director of the Department of Housing and Communal Services, said that Mykolaiv had resumed work on a social housing project in the Soliani neighborhood. In total, it is planned to build 150 apartments for low-income families and internally displaced persons. Currently, the city is in the process of negotiating a project agreement with the Danish fund that is financing the construction.
In addition, 671 housing vouchers totaling UAH 1.3 billion were approved for internally displaced persons in Mykolaiv region.
