Mykolaiv has created a registry of restoration projects that will ensure the accounting of municipal property and the reconstruction of the city. The registry allows for the creation of a unified system of accounting for communal property and promotes transparency through open data.

This was reported by the press service of Mykolaiv City Council.

The Mykolaiv City Council has implemented a draft decision on the procedure for the formation and maintenance of a register of restoration projects. Thanks to a new module for the geographic information system, all information on damage, projects, and budgets will be collected in one place, accessible to citizens after security restrictions are lifted.

With the support of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative, a new module for recording damage and reconstruction has been created in Mykolaiv and integrated into the city's geographic information system. This module allows to record damage, create commission inspection reports, and organize restoration projects.

The introduction of the system for creating and maintaining the Register of Recovery Projects is an important step towards increasing the transparency and efficiency of the city's recovery process. Citizens will have open access to all stages of the restoration of their property, and the information will be available after security restrictions are lifted.

Over the past year, 1,436 inspections of properties damaged by Russian aggression were conducted, allowing for the development of recovery plans and assistance to citizens through the EU Recovery Program and international initiatives. The Department of State Architectural and Construction Control conducted 10 unscheduled inspections, issued 9 orders to eliminate violations and 5 orders to stop construction work, imposing fines totaling UAH 319,562, of which UAH 866,126 was collected.

And the Department of Housing and Communal Services spent more than UAH 126 million to restore damaged residential buildings and city infrastructure. In 2024, 67 inspections of residential buildings were carried out, current repairs were carried out in 10 buildings, major repairs in 5 buildings, and one destroyed building was dismantled, and housing, infrastructure, roads and bridges were restored for UAH 1.58 billion.
