The verdict was announced by the Berezansky District Court of Mykolaiv Oblast.

According to the investigation, in August 2024, the Berezan village head extorted UAH 300,000 from a representative of the Odesa farm. He promised to "negotiate" with the police to stop checking the legality of the use of 50 hectares of land. As a result, the amount of the bribe was reduced to 200 thousand hryvnias, and it was while receiving this money that the official was caught by law enforcement.
