Mykolaiv has updated its bus route network by adding a new route to improve passenger transportation. The decision was made taking into account the needs of residents and the martial law.

This is evidenced by the decision of the Executive Committee of Mykolaiv City Council.

Changes and additions have been made to the city bus route network. In particular, the name and route of route 45 has been changed.

The route will now run from 52 Lazurna Street to 3 Kazarskoho Street, via Ozerna, Kurortna, Yevhenia Loginova, General Oleksa Almazova, Tsentralnyi and Mira Avenues, Kosmonavtiv, Troitska, Elektronna and Oleksandr Yanata Streets. The total length of the route is 20.1 km, and the traffic mode is regular.

In addition, a new bus route No. 85 has been added to the network, connecting the Namiv neighborhood with Mykolaiv-Pasazhyrskyi railway station.

In the direction of the railway station, the route passes through Kyivska, Kurortna, Yevhenia Loginova, Industrialna, Sudnostroitelnyi Lane, Kovalska, Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue, Kosmonavtiv Avenue, Mira Avenue, and 5 Novozavodska Street. In the opposite direction, the route runs through the same streets in reverse order. The traffic mode of this route is also defined as normal.

According to the document, the decision was made taking into account the request of Eurotranstekhservice LLC and current legislation, as well as in the context of the legal regime of martial law introduced by the decree of the President of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. The new routes are intended to improve transportation in the city and meet the needs of passengers.

In March, Mykolaiv decided to launch passenger transportation on city bus route 79. The route will pass through many stops in different parts of the city, including Odesa Highway, Vadym Blahovisnyi, Velyka Morska, Buznyk streets, as well as Tsentralnyi and Bohoyavlenskyi avenues, Troitska, Kosmonavtiv streets, and others.

Earlier, the city decided to expand the network of municipal electric transport routes: a new trolleybus route No. 8 will connect Budivelnykiv Street with the Matviyivka neighborhood. Its length will be 27 km, and the full circle will be 49 km.

In 2025, Mykolaivpastrans plans to improve transportation by adding 26 new buses by the end of the year: 10 of them should arrive by July and the rest by the end of the year.
