The heating season of 2025-2026 officially ends in Mykolaiv on March 24. The decision was made by the executive committee of the city council on March 18.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council.

The reason for the decision was stable warming: the average daily air temperature exceeded +8°C for three days, which meets the standards for the end of heat supply.

According to the decision, heating will be stopped at all city facilities, but an exception will be made for social institutions. These include kindergartens, hospitals, maternity hospitals and outpatient clinics, where heat supply may be continued upon separate requests from the relevant institutions.

Heat supply companies, together with consumers, should carry out the shutdown in a technological sequence. This process must be completed no later than five days after the decision is made.

At the same time, the city council notes that heat bills, as well as benefits and subsidies, will be adjusted in accordance with the actual period of service supply. The recalculations are expected to be completed within 30 days.

As previously reported by Intent, as of the beginning of the current heating season, the debt of Mykolaiv residents for heat supply services remains significant. The total amount of consumer debt to Mykolaivoblteploenergo for the previous periods is over UAH 270 million.

Earlier, as of September, the state's debt to Mykolaivoblteploenergo reached a critical level of UAH 1 billion 105 million. This amount is compensation for the difference between the approved and economically justified tariff.

Meanwhile, the heating season for 2025-2026 officially ends in Kherson on March 23. According to the order, the city's centralized heating will be turned off on March 23. At the same time, the season will last until the end of April for houses with individual heating.
