Mykolaiv Funeral Service has announced a tender for the purchase of funeral paraphernalia for more than three million hryvnias.

This is reported on the Prozorro platform.

The tender, which was announced on January 24, is to purchase coffins of various types and sizes, including lacquered hexagonal, octagonal, combined models and non-standard products. The total cost of ritual paraphernalia is UAH 3 million 271 thousand.

These funds are to be used to purchase 650 units of products, including coffins of the "Sarcophagus" and "Oval Sarcophagus with a double lid" types. The supplier must ensure that the products comply with applicable standards, have a high quality lacquer coating, no defects, and be neatly upholstered.

According to the contract, deliveries will be made in batches until the end of 2025 to the customer's address in Mykolaiv. The customer also requires that the products be new, meet the declared characteristics and have proper packaging for transportation.

Bids are due by February 1, and the auction is scheduled to start on February 3 in an open bidding format with special features that provide for shortened deadlines for submitting bids and appeals.

Recently, the Mykolaiv City Council's Capital Construction Department signed a contract for the engineering design of a memorial complex dedicated to the memory of fallen soldiers without holding an auction.

The plan to create a memorial complex dedicated to the memory of fallen warrior heroes in Mykolaiv was announced back in the summer. At that time, an all-Ukrainian architectural competition was held for the best design proposal for the memorial complex. The winners of the competition were architects Andrii and Volodymyr Didiuk from Kamianets-Podilskyi.

The Kherson City Ritual Service also announced a tender for the purchase of memorial complexes to honor the memory of fallen soldiers buried at the Geologists Cemetery. The expected cost is UAH 6 million.
