Mykolaiv has amended its budget for 2025. Part of the funds was allocated for city programs, replenishment of the authorized capital of Mykolaivoblteploenergo, energy supply to preschools, and defense and mobilization measures.

This is evidenced by the decision of the Executive Committee of the Mykolaiv City Council.

The executive committee has adopted a draft decision on amendments to the community budget for 2025, which will now be submitted to the session.

According to the updated document, the budget revenues of the Mykolaiv City Territorial Community for 2025 are set at UAH 6.6 billion. Of these, the general budget fund revenues will amount to UAH 6.4 billion, and the special fund - UAH 286 million. Budget expenditures are set at UAH 7.4 billion, of which UAH 5.3 billion is allocated to the general fund and UAH 2.1 billion to the special fund. The surplus of the general fund of the budget will amount to almost UAH 1.1 billion, and the deficit of the special fund will be about UAH 1.9 billion.

The budget provides for a revolving fund balance of 50 million, which is 0.94% of general fund expenditures. A community reserve fund has also been established. Particular attention is paid to financing city programs, with over 5.3 billion allocated for their implementation.

Among the key changes is the allocation of funds to the municipal enterpriseMykolaivoblteploenergo to replenish the authorized capital in the amount of UAH 83.4 million. Of this amount:

In the field of education, the Education Department of Mykolaiv City Council has set the amount of expenditures for energy services in preschool institutions in the amount of UAH 267 thousand within the general fund for utilities and energy.

The budget update also provides for the preservation of the balances of the subvention from the local budget to the state budget for the implementation of the program "Promoting the city's defense and mobilization readiness for 2021-2025".

Mykolaiv has also revised the expenditures of the Department of Housing and Communal Services for 2025: funding for housing maintenance and waste management has been reduced, and additional funds have been allocated for road repairs and utility bills.
