The program envisages a set of measures to develop sports in the city, including involving children and youth in sports schools, creating conditions for the development of reserve sports and training athletes to join the national teams of Ukraine. Particular attention is paid to updating the forms and methods of work of sports institutions and gradually increasing their own revenues from their economic and other activities.

Of this amount, the majority of funds - UAH 972.3 million - will come from the local budget, and another UAH 22.6 million is planned to be raised from other sources not prohibited by law.

The program's implementers, the Department of Finance and the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Mykolaiv City Council, will provide funding within the approved amounts and control over the use of funds. Every year by January 25, they will inform the city council about the progress of the program and the achievement of the set goals.
