MP detained in Odesa region and taken to TCC

Oleksandr Somov, a deputy of the Fontansky village council, was detained on August 29 before the start of the session and transferred to the territorial center for recruitment and social support.

This was reported to Intent by Mykhailo Shmushkovych, a deputy of the Odesa Regional Council who is a fellow party member of Oleksandr Somov, the head of the European Solidarity party faction in the Fontansky village council.

According to Mykhailo Shmushkovych, Oleksandr Somov was allegedly put on the wanted list on August 29.

"At 8:15 he was put on the wanted list, at 10:00 the Security Service of Ukraine, the police and the National Guard were waiting for him before the session. A classic order. He is the director of a municipal enterprise in the city, but the reservation has not yet been issued," said Mikhail Shmushkovich.

According to journalist Iryna Hryb, the deputy planned to demand at the session to revise the tariffs for water supply and garbage collection in the village, which he considers to be too high.

In 2020, Oleksandr Somov was elected as a deputy of the 8th convocation of the Fontanka village council from the EU party, a member of the Standing Committee on Communal Property, Housing, Energy Saving and Transport. He is the director of the Center for Financing and Economic Activity of Educational Institutions of Suvorovskyi District of Odesa.

In 2015, he unsuccessfully ran for the Odesa City Council of the 7th convocation in 61 constituencies from the EU. In 2014, he ran for the Verkhovna Rada of the 8th convocation from the People's Front party in constituency 136. He was not elected.

In 2012, he ran for the Verkhovna Rada of the 7th convocation from the "Batkivshchyna" party in constituency 136. He was not elected.

In 2021, Natalia Krupytsia, the head of the Fontanska amalgamated community, sued 10 members of the village council over the October 8 meeting. The deputies called it the XVIII session of the village council, but the head of the community did not recognize it. Oleksandr Somov was also on the list.
