More dead and wounded as a result of Russian attack on port in Odesa region

The number of people killed and wounded as a result of a missile attack on a port in Odesa region on the evening of December 19 has increased.

According to the press service of the State Emergency Service, there are currently eight dead and 23 wounded.

On the evening of December 19, Russia attacked a port infrastructure facility in the Odesa region with ballistic missiles. A passenger bus was in the epicenter of the strike, with people on board who were killed and injured. Also, trucks caught fire in the parking lot and cars were damaged.

On December 19, the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, reported seven dead and 15 wounded.

He also said that work was underway to eliminate the consequences of Russian strikes on the transport bridge near the village of Mayaki on the M15 highway (Odesa-Reni) and to provide alternative routes for traffic. I am grateful to everyone who is helping and to everyone involved in the relevant work and decision-making.

On December 19, the Defense Council of Odesa Oblast suspended the movement of freight transport on the M-15 Odesa-Reni highway.

In the evening of December 18, during an attack in Odesa region, an enemy attack drone hit a bridge connecting settlements in the area of the Dniester Estuary and also hit a bridge over the Dniester River near the village of Mayaki. There, it hit a civilian car that was crossing the bridge. The car was occupied by a woman with three children. The mother was seriously injured and died in an ambulance. Her three children were taken to the hospital with injuries and acute stress reaction.
