Funding for the purchase of MRI and ultrasound machines for hospital No. 10 worth UAH 127 million has been found in Odesa

The relevant information was published on the DREAM platform.

Odesa City Clinical Hospital No. 10 will receive modern medical equipment - a 3 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging scanner and a BK Medical 3000 high-precision ultrasound machine. To implement this large-scale medical project, Odesa has raised almost UAH 127 million - the full amount will be financed by France under a Memorandum of Understanding with the city council.

The new MRI will allow for more than 7,000 examinations per year, prompt diagnosis of strokes, tumors, organ damage, and the provision of paid services. The ultrasound machine will provide accurate visualization during surgeries and biopsies, in particular in the treatment of cancer.

The project involves the reconstruction of premises for the equipment, its installation, and staff training. All works will last until 2026.

Recently, Municipal Clinical Hospital No. 10 of the Odesa City Council held a tender to select a company to provide catering services. Fabrika Smaku LLC was the only bidder in two catering tenders. The company is to supply 10.5 thousand meals worth UAH 3.48 million for gynecological departments. For other hospitals - 90 thousand sets for UAH 26.08 million.

It also became known that Hospital No. 10 was overpaid for medical services by more than a million hryvnias. The contract was signed with a private company, although there was a cheaper one among the tender offers. The tender was won by the private company B.M.L. LLC. The beneficiary of this company is Olha Bohomolets, who was formerly Viktor Yushchenko's personal physician and a member of the Ukrainian parliament.
