In early June 2025, the doctor was talking on the phone with a military man. During the conversation, he told his interlocutor that he had to bribe the doctor to influence the decision-making of an orthopedic traumatologist at the trauma department of the Trauma and Orthopedics Clinic of the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Southern Region. The orthopedist would then produce the necessary medical documents for further recognition of the soldier as fit for service in military units supporting territorial recruitment and social support centers, training centers, medical units, logistics, communications, operational support or security units.

The defendant valued this service at 2 thousand dollars, which as of June 7, 2026, amounts to 88.5 thousand hryvnias. Although at the time of receipt it was less - UAH 82,457. The doctor received this money in October 2025.
