The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed Russian surveillance systems on gas platforms near the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This was reported by the Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa.

According to him, the Ukrainian Navy units successfully attacked Russian surveillance systems located on the seized gas platforms in the Black Sea.

"The hunt for the enemy in the Black Sea continues. Our maritime drones have carried out precise strikes on enemy targets. We have destroyed enemy surveillance systems located on seized platforms near the temporarily occupied Crimea. The occupants will not stay on our territory - we will get them everywhere," the Vice Admiral noted.

In turn, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of six allegedly marine drones, but the occupiers decided not to report the consequences of the attack.

It should be noted that these gas towers have been under Russian control since 2014.

Meanwhile, gas has been burning continuously on offshore platforms near Ukrainian drilling rigs in the Black Sea, seized by Russia, for more than two years.

Russia is using the platforms for military reconnaissance, having installed electronic equipment there. After recent attacks by Ukrainian military special forces, some of these facilities have been brought under control. In particular, smoke columns rise above four of the 14 platforms, with the longest fire burning since June 2022. One of the block conductors, located 50 kilometers east of Zmiinyi Island, has been on fire for three autumns. In June 2022, the occupation authorities of Crimea claimed an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which allegedly damaged the Tavrida drilling rig, which Russia had taken away from the state-owned company Chernomorneftegaz.
