The lawyers of Odesa doctors who were tried for alleged medical malpractice after the death of cancer patient Adnan Kivan, have reported an attempted raider seizure by law enforcement.

According to the press service of the Müller law firm, it is the Odrex Medical Center.

The lawyers argue that law enforcement officers are seizing not medical but financial documents of the hospital for investigation.

"It all starts not with a 'medical error' but with something allegedly much more serious: November 14, 2024 - Kyiv Regional Police launches an investigation at the request of the deceased's wife with the qualification of "premeditated murder". For some reason, the case is not transferred to Odesa, where everything happened, as required by law. On December 27 of the same year, Odrex was searched in the case of "premeditated murder". And now - attention, a quote from the ruling. The motive: Odrex doctors and management, together with "unidentified persons," wanted to kill the patient in order to "take possession of his property"!

In parallel with the "murder investigation", they are not looking for a medical error, they are seizing financial documents. The goal becomes obvious: to find any way to paralyze the company. Subsequently, the relatives filed a civil lawsuit in the criminal proceedings. But the claims are not against the suspected doctors, but against Odrex, which has no procedural status in the case. It is this lawsuit that becomes the basis for the arrest of Odrex's corporate rights. The scheme is closed," the lawyers emphasized.

Earlier, the private hospital Odrex Medical House condemned the public disclosure of personal data of medical staff of the medical institution in the media during the pre-trial investigation of the death of businessman Adnan Kivan.
