Head of Novosofiyivka occupation administration to be tried in Kherson region

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The post says that under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional and Skadovsk District Prosecutor's Offices, an indictment against a local resident on the fact of collaboration (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) was sent to court.

The investigation established that in August 2022, the accused cooperated with the occupiers and agreed to become the "head" of the so-called "Novosofiyivka settlement of the Holoprystan municipal district of Kherson region". In her pseudo-position, she recruited staff to work in the illegal authority, organized mass events to ensure the loyalty of local residents to the activities of representatives of the aggressor state and the occupation administration. She also performed other functions that contributed to the establishment of the occupation regime.

The special pre-trial investigation was conducted by the SBU Office in Kherson region.

Earlier it was reported that Kherson police investigators had served a local resident with a notice of suspicion for organizing the educational process according to the standards of the aggressor country. During the occupation of Kherson, a 42-year-old local resident voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the invaders. The suspect became the "head of the department" of one of the faculties of the educational institution seized by the occupiers. Currently, she has been served a notice of suspicion of collaboration in absentia. The woman faces three years in prison.

It was also reported that based on SBU materials, the pseudo-minister of ecology of Kherson region was sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison. The convict organized and controlled the work of the structural units of the pseudo-agency. He "took care" of property issues related to the functioning of the laboratory of the "ministry".
