Kherson is without power due to an emergency. Experts are currently investigating the cause of the power outage.
This was reported by the Kherson City Military Administration.
City residents have been asked to be understanding of the situation. The Military Administration has not yet announced when power will be restored.
“Resilience Centers” continue to operate in the city, where people can charge their devices and receive other necessary assistance.
Meanwhile, in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, the occupying administration does not know when power will be fully restored.
As a reminder, on May 28, the Korabelny District in Kherson experienced a partial power outage. The cause was emergency repair work at a substation that had been damaged by Russian shelling.
Earlier, city authorities also reported thatelectric transitwould be temporarily restricted due to repairs to the overhead contact system.
Additionally, on May 3, 2026, trolleybus service in Kherson wastemporarilysuspended, and the number of buses on city routes was significantly reduced. This was due to Russian military strikes on public transportation the day before.
On May 14, in the Korabelny district of Kherson, Russian forces attacked vehicles belonging to aUN humanitarian mission using a drone. The attack took place in violation of international norms prohibiting attacks on humanitarian missions and civilian transport used to assist the population.
