The Kherson territorial community has received another tranche of humanitarian aid from international donors. The material and technical base of the city has been replenished with generators to ensure energy independence, as well as specialized vehicles designed for the safe transportation of people with limited mobility.

According to the Kherson MBA, the municipality of Bonn (Germany) provided Kherson with important reinforcements for its transport and utility infrastructure. The community received a specialized Mercedes minibus, adapted for the transportation of people with limited mobility and wheelchairs, as well as a JCB 3CX backhoe loader. This assistance was provided through the Municipal Partnership for Civil Protection and Recovery in Ukraine program, implemented by GIZ.

At the same time, another batch of powerful generators was delivered by the German Federal Agency for Technical Cooperation (THW). The equipment is designed to support the city's critical infrastructure in case of power outages.

The Kherson community also received a batch of electric heaters as part of international support. The equipment will help the city's residents survive possible heat supply interruptions in the next heating season.

The city authorities note that preparations for the winter start early, as stable operation of the infrastructure and meeting the basic needs of the citizens is one of the main tasks in the war. The donated devices will be an important support for the community, especially in case of accidents or damage to heating systems.

Kherson thanked the international and Ukrainian partners who have contributed to helping the city. In particular, they expressed their sincere gratitude to the German charitable foundation Blue-Gelbes Kreuz e.V. for its initiative, responsible position and constant support of the community.
