The Housing and Communal Services Department of the Izmail City Council has started looking for a contractor to carry out major repairs to the two-story building at 111 Prydunayska Street, which was damaged in the fall of 2024 as a result of Russia's armed aggression, for UAH 36.33 million. The facility is to be financed from the budget.

This was reported by an Intent correspondent with reference to the Prozorro website.

The two-storey eight-apartment building with an area of 475 square meters is located in Izmail at the corner of Prydunayskaya (formerly Nakhimov Street) and Topolnaya Streets. To increase the seismic resistance of the building and ensure reliable and safe operation, the project provides for the complete replacement of the supporting structures of the wooden frame. A 150-millimeter-thick basalt wool insulation will be placed between the floor beams. The contractor will reinforce the exterior walls along the entire length, install a monolithic reinforced concrete tying beam along the perimeter of the foundation structure, and arrange porches.

In addition to finishing works, it is planned to install a double-circuit gas boiler in each apartment, replace old boilers with new ones, as well as gas convectors and air conditioners. A new sewage system will be laid. Install electrical networks with replacement of lamps on both floors.

The auction is scheduled for November 24. The winner must complete the entire scope of the planned work by November 30, 2028.

Earlier, the city announced a tender for the overhaul of a neighboring two-story building at 2 Topolna Street. Its repair was estimated at UAH 37 million. The procurement was conducted in the format of an open tender with special features and the only participant was Rodnik, a private enterprise owned by Izmail City Council member Igor Dekhtyarev.

The house on Topolna Street was destroyed as a result of the attack on Izmail on the night of September 27, 2024. The shelling killed three people and injured 14 others, including three children: two boys aged 3 and 13 and a 14-year-old girl.
