Robert Brovdi, Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, announced a new phase of Operation “Crimean Switch Off.” According to him, over the past 72 hours, UAS units have struck another 13 energy facilities in the temporarily occupied territories.
According to “Madyar,” a total of 177 energy targets were struck as part of the operation between July 1 and August 2.
Among the facilities that, according to the military, were struck are the energy infrastructure of the Zuivska Thermal Power Plant in Zuhres, Donetsk Oblast, as well as a number of high-voltage substations in Mariupol, Henichesk, Novooleksiivka, Berdiansk, Topolynoye, and Mykilsk.
In particular, there are reports of a second strike on the 150-kV “Henichesk” substation, as well as strikes on the 330-kV “Mirna” substation, the 220-kV “Azovska-220” substation in Mariupol, and several 110-kV substations.
In its statement, “Madyar” also claimed that as a result of the operation, power outages were allegedly observed in Zugres, Mariupol, Henichesk, Berdyansk, and other settlements in the temporarily occupied territories.
Recently, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces struck 18 energy facilities in the temporarily occupied territories between July 25 and 27, 14 of which were in Crimea.
On July 26, a state of emergency was declared in occupiedAlushtadue to a prolonged power outage. Some areas have been without power for more than 48 hours.
In addition,Yevpatoriaand Saki were also left completely without power.Vitaliy Oganesyan, the Russian-controlled mayor of Yevpatoria, noted that the villages of Mirne, Zaozernoye, and Novoozernoye were also without power. It is known that the lack of electricity has caused water supply problems. Water is being supplied at minimal pressure.
