The Kazankivska Territorial Community successfully reclaimed a 32-hectare plot of land through the courts. The court found that the tenant had used the land not for haymaking and grazing livestock, as specified in the terms of the contract, but for growing crops.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

Wheat, rapeseed, and corn were grown on the leased land. Such activities lead to a deterioration in soil quality and land depletion, as well as significant budget losses, since the rent for using pastures is significantly lower than for other agricultural lands.

Previously, the Beryslav District Prosecutor’s Office filed three lawsuits demanding the return to state ownership of forest fund land plots totaling 12.8 hectares, which, according to the investigation, had been illegally transferred to municipal ownership.

Prosecutors determined that, during the formation of these plots, forest fund lands—which were under permanent use by the state forestry and hunting enterprise—were unjustifiably included in their composition. In accordance with the law, these lands were required to remain in state ownership.

In the Darivska community of the Kherson district, an 18.86-hectare plot of land designated for forestry purposes was illegally reclassified as agricultural land and transferred to municipal ownership. The prosecutor’s office successfully sought through the courts the return to the state of an 18.86-hectare plot of land designated for forestry purposes.
