In the Kherson region, the case against the head of the occupation-run employment center has been referred to court

<span><span><span><span><span><span>Prosecutors have referred to court the case of a 57-year-old woman accused of collaboration. During the occupation of part of the Kherson region, she became the head of an illegal institution established by the occupying administration.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The investigation found that in August 2023, the woman assumed the position of head of a branch of the occupation-controlled Employment Center in the Kherson region. The institution was illegally established on the territory of the “Novotroitsk Municipal District.”</span></span></span></span></span></span><span><span><span><span><span><span>In this position, the woman ensured the operation of the “branch” controlled by the occupiers, organized its activities, and facilitated the recruitment of people to work for the occupiers. </span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>In September 2023, the defendant ran for office and was elected as a deputy of the “Novotroitsk Municipal District of the First Convocation” representing the “United Russia” political party. After receiving her “mandate,” the woman participated in the work of the illegally established council of deputies and in public events organized by the occupying authorities; she demonstrated support for the aggressor state and contributed to the legitimization of the Russian Federation’s illegal authorities in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

Previously, the native of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea was sentenced to 8 years in prison for participating in the organization of the 2022 pseudo-referendum. She voluntarily joinedthe “precinct election commission” in the town of Dnipriany, Kakhovka District, Kherson Region.
