In the center of Mykolaiv, utilities spent almost 5 million to build a sports ground

In Mykolaiv, a utility company is building a sports ground on Flotskyi Boulevard. The construction cost UAH 4 million 620 thousand. The utility decided not to spend the rest of the funds, which amounted to more than UAH 2 million.

According to the company, work is underway on the territory of the park-monument of landscape art, where it is planned to create a zone for rehabilitation of the military, sports and active recreation of citizens.

At this stage, the territory is being landscaped, including the installation of benches, bins, and exercise equipment. The utility company explained that the project was developed by private entrepreneur Lyudmyla Shchedra and is estimated at UAH 6,829,637.

According to the utility company, the total amount of expenditures is currently UAH 4 million 620 thousand 720. It was decided not to spend the rest of the funds, which is about UAH 2.2 million, as the work is being carried out by the company's own forces without involving contractors. The final cost of the work will be known after the reconstruction is completed, as additional purchases of materials are possible.

The salary of Dmytro Chuchmai, director of the Mykolaiv Parks utility company, amounted to more than UAH 1.1 million in 2023. According to his declaration, he owns two cars with his wife, is the owner of a company, and keeps money in a bank.

His wife, Svitlana Chuchmai, earned 241 thousand 905 hryvnias in the Department of Housing and Communal Services. The director of the utility company keeps 19 thousand 85 US dollars in the bank. Dmytro Chuchmay partially owns a residential building purchased in 2011 with a total area of 70.7 square meters in Mariupol. He also owns two apartments, purchased in 1996 and 2017, which he also owns in joint partial ownership.
