Billboards and city lights in Mykolaiv and the region are going to advertise the security police. Law enforcement officers want to spend almost a million hryvnias on these services.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Prozorro system.

The procurement for visual advertising services on billboards was announced by the Protection Police Department in Mykolaiv region on August 26. Proposals will be accepted until September 4. The next day, an auction will be held in the format of open bidding with special features. The peculiarity of the open bidding is that all the terms are shortened compared to traditional bidding, which is regulated by the Law on Public Procurement. This means that the procurement process is much faster.

The winner must be responsible for the technical and appearance of the advertising structures throughout the term of the contract, and must quickly repair any damage or defects at their own expense. In total, the company plans to spend UAH 754,107 on advertising services.

According to the tender documents, the advertisements are to be placed at the entrances to cities and main streets of Mykolaiv region. For example, in Pervomaisk, billboards will be installed on the highway leading to Myhia and in the city itself. Advertising will also appear in Yuzhnoukrainsk, Koblevo, Voznesensk and Novyi Buh. In addition to the 3x6-meter billboards, citylights will be placed in the center of Mykolaiv, on Soborna Street and Tsentralnyi Avenue. A total of 30 advertising structures are to be used, of which 20 are billboards and 10 are citylights.

Earlier, anti-monopoly officials found signs of collusion among bidders in a tender for the purchase of alarm devices by the Security Police Department in Mykolaiv region.
