Since the evening of July 12, Odesa and the Odesa region have been under air attack by Russian forces, who are using drones and missiles.
On the morning of July 13, Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, reported that the enemy had targeted the city’s transportation infrastructure.
Meanwhile, photos and videos of a fire at a parking lot—where flames engulfed buses and cars—began circulating on social media. An air raid siren sounded in the morning, accompanied by reports of jet-powered drones approaching from the sea.
Also, on the evening of July 12, a drone struck the roof of a high-rise building in the Raiduzhny residential neighborhood, causing a fire. Another drone damaged the roof of a home improvement store. Fires broke out but have since been extinguished. Information regarding casualties is still being verified.
The night before, Russian occupiers also terrorized the Odesa region with airstrikes throughout the night. As a result of the drone attack, residential buildings, cars, and an infrastructure facility were damaged. In the Odesa district, buildings and equipment on the grounds of an infrastructure facility were damaged. The residential sector was also affected—two private homes and three passenger cars sustained damage.
Starting in the evening of July 11, air raid alerts were sounded several times in the Odesa district. Some of the alerts were related to the activity of Russian tactical aviation in the southern and southeastern directions.
On July 11, Russia struck the portof Odesa with a ballistic missile—trucks were damaged, two people were killed, three others were injured, and two were hospitalized. According to the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (AMPU),a civilian vessel flying the flagof Saint Kitts and Nevis was also hit—a fire broke out on board but was extinguished, and the crew was unharmed.
