In Odessa, a man opened fire on employees of the TCC

An unknown assailant opened fire on a group of employees at the Regional Recruitment and Social Support Center in Odesa on the evening of August 2.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region.

According to the agency, at around 7:30 p.m., police received a report of gunfire in one of Odesa’s districts. Preliminary findings indicate that while employees of the district Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support were conducting public awareness activities, an unknown assailant fired several shots from a pistol in their direction.


As a result of the incident, four employees of the Regional Recruitment and Social Support Center were injured; they are receiving the necessary medical care.

The last reported attack on RTC&SS staff in the Odesa region resulting in injuries occurred in May. At that time, in the village of Baibuzivka, Savran Settlement Community, Podilsky District, an alert team, together with representatives of the National Police, stopped a citizen to check his military registration documents. Following the check, military personnel determined that the individual was wanted for violating military registration rules. Using a bladed weapon, the man inflicted multiple stab wounds on two servicemen. 

Earlier, a group of unknown individuals in Odesa disrupted the transport of conscripts by attackinga militaryvehicle.
