In 2025, Odesa region harvested more than 40 million tons of grains and pulses, as well as significant volumes of oilseeds and vegetables. The region has confirmed its status as one of the key agricultural leaders in Ukraine, demonstrating high production rates of certain crops.
This is evidenced by the data of the Department of Statistics in Odesa region.
Odesa region has summarized the harvest results for 2025, recording significant results in crop production. The total gross harvest of grains and legumes amounted to 40.4 million tons, oilseeds - 10.8 million tons, and vegetables - 2.9 million tons. Agricultural enterprises accounted for a significant share of production, although individual farms also remain an important segment.
In the structure of grain crops, wheat accounts for the largest share - 62.9%, followed by barley (22%) and corn (9%). Among oilseeds, winter rapeseed and kola are the leaders (55.4%), while sunflower accounts for 40.8%. Vegetable production is dominated by tomatoes (37%), onions (22.5%), and other vegetables.
In particular, the region provided 100% of the total volume of rice, 64.8% of grapes, 56.8% of lentils, and 44.2% of oilseed flax. The region also recorded high production figures for peas and barley.
Experts emphasize that crop production remains a key component of the region's agricultural potential, providing both domestic market and export opportunities.
In addition, in the first quarter of 2026, Ukrainian ports in the Odesa region fulfilled the plan for cargo transportation by 98%, which is 21.1 million tons of cargo.
In addition to grain, the transshipment of metal products also remained stable at 1.2 million tons. The container segment demonstrates the highest growth dynamics: over 63 thousand TEUs were handled in three months, which is 43.3% more than in the same period last year.
