In Mykolaiv, the high school's cafeteria will be renovated for 27.5 million

The Capital Construction Department of the Mykolaiv City Council has announced a tender for the major renovation of the cafeteria at Lyceum No. 3 on Chkalov Street. More than 27.5 million hryvnias are planned to be spent on the work. The project will be implemented as part of the Ukraine Facility program, co-financed by the European Union.

According to the tender documentation, the expected cost of the procurement is 27,504,310 hryvnias. The work is to be completed by December 30, 2026. The procurement is being conducted by the Capital Construction Department of the Mykolaiv City Council through an open bidding procedure with specific conditions.

The project involves a comprehensive modernization of the cafeteria. The scope of work includes the demolition of old structures, general construction and finishing work, and the upgrading of water supply, sewer, heating, ventilation, and electrical systems, fire alarm, automatic fire suppression, and public address systems, as well as the automation of utility networks; and the installation of new technological equipment and ensuring accessibility for people with limited mobility.

Funding will be provided as part of a state investment project to modernize school cafeterias, which is co-financed by the European Union under the Ukraine Facility program. If the project is not completed by the end of the year, it may receive additional funding from the local budget or other sources not prohibited by law.

According to information from the Prozorro system, the source of funding is the local budget within the framework of a state subsidy and co-financing. A total of 11.34 million UAH from the subsidy and 16.16 million UAH in co-financing from the local budget are allocated for the project’s implementation.

As a reminder, Mykolaiv announced a procurement process to continue the reconstruction of Lyceum No. 2, which was damaged during Russian shelling. The estimated cost of the work is 264.9 million hryvnias.

According to regional authorities, as of early March 2026, 99.3 million hryvnias from the state budget had already been spent on restoring the building. Currently, the contractor has completed approximately 40% of the planned work, and the Regional State Administrationhasalreadyannounced a tenderto select a contractor who will oversee the completion of the high school’s reconstruction over the next two years.

In addition, plans are in placeto repair the windowsat the lyceum in the Mykolaiv region. More than 12 million hryvnias from the budget are earmarked for this project.
