In Kherson region, civilians are wounded and a gas pipeline and a bus are damaged during shelling

Yesterday, on August 18, Antonivka, Stepanivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Bilozerka, Pryozerne, Stanislav, Ponyativka, Tomyna Balka, Nova Kamyanka, Dudchany, Lvov, Novokaira, Mykhailivka, Kreschenivka, Mykolaivka and the city of Kherson came under enemy fire and air strikes in the right-bank part of Kherson region.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

The official said in a statement that the Russian occupiers had hit educational institutions and a store; residential areas of the region's settlements, including 49 private houses. The occupiers also damaged a gas pipeline, outbuildings, a bus, private cars, and agricultural machinery.

Several civilians were injured as a result of Russian aggression. Thus, according to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, on August 18, 2024, at about 11:40 a.m., Russian military dropped explosives from a drone on a street in Kherson. The explosion caused shrapnel wounds to a 40-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman. Also, on August 18, 2024, at about 17:30, the Russian army attacked the village of Kindiyka using a UAV. A shell hit a civilian car on a street in the village. Five civilians inside the car sustained injuries of varying degrees.

Earlier it was reported that two civilians were killed in Kherson region on August 15 as a result of Russian aggression. Five more were injured, including one child. Thus, on August 15, 2024, at about 16:00, the Russian military dropped explosives from a drone on a street in Kozatske. The explosion killed a 60-year-old man. In addition, on August 5, 2024, at about 16:30, the Russian military shelled Tokarivka with artillery. A woman sustained life-threatening injuries in the yard of a private house.
