The Central District Hospital of the Safyanivka Village Council in the Izmail District of the Odesa Region is seeking a contractor to carry out major repairs on two of the facility’s wards following a drone attack this spring.
This information was published on the Prozorro e-procurement platform.
The project involves the emergency room and the diagnostic department buildings. The estimated cost of the work is 9,139,000 hryvnias. Funding for this will be allocated from the Safyanivka community budget.
The cost estimate includes demolition, general construction, plumbing, and electrical work. Specifically, workers will remove old ceilings, floor and wall coverings, plaster, window and door frames, plumbing fixtures, internal water supply and sewer systems, and electrical wiring. In total, approximately 100 metric tons of construction debris are expected to be removed.
After demolition, the plan is to insulate 332.7 square meters of the facade with mineral boards, replace windows and doors, install new flooring, and finish and paint the walls and ceilings. The area of the new suspended ceilings will be 326.2 square meters, and certain surfaces will be tiled with ceramic tiles.
The project also includes the installation of new water supply and sewer systems, as well as two toilets, 10 sinks, and six electric water heaters. Electrical work includes laying new wiring, installing 116 outlets, light switches, electrical panels, 48 light fixtures, two fans, and 10 germicidal lamps. Separately, a grounding system and 31 informational signs for people with limited mobility will be installed, and in the surrounding area, concrete paving and sidewalk surfacing will be laid.
The contractor selection auction is scheduled for September 23. The major renovation of the hospital’s two wards is planned to be completed by the end of 2027. On the night of April 29, 2026, the Central District Hospital of the Safyanivka Village Council in Izmail was damaged as a result of an attack by Russian drones. A direct hit completely destroyed the emergency room, and the internal medicine, cardiology, and surgery departments, as well as the diagnostic rooms, sustained significant damage.
After the attack, the community began cleaning up the damage and restoring the medical facility. Funds were raised for immediate relief efforts. In particular, during a Prayer Breakfast in Izmail, 66,155 hryvnias were raised and donated to the hospital’s reconstruction fund.
