The Pervomaisky City and District Court of Mykolaiv Oblastfound Natalia Ositkovska, chair of the Pervomaisky Interdistrict Medical and Social Expert Commission, guilty of making false statements.
According to the verdict,she was sentenced to a fine of 68,000 hryvnias and barred from holding positions involving organizational, managerial, administrative, and economic functions in healthcare facilities and expert teams assessing an individual’s daily functioning for a period of three years.
The basis for the guilty verdict, in particular, was the findings of a comprehensive audit of her 2023 declaration conducted by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption. The audit revealed that the official had provided false information amounting to over 2.7 million hryvnias.

In April, a court in Mykolaiv recused a judge from hearing the case of another former MSEC employee at the request of the prosecutor’s office. The recusal was based on doubts regarding compliance with procedural rules during the hearings. The case involved Vira Belyakova, who is accused of issuing a fraudulent disability certificate to a man subject to military service—which allowed him to obtain a deferment from mobilization—as well as of making false statements. During searches of the official’s premises, authorities found over $450,000 in cash and a collection of jewelry, which she had stored at various addresses.
