During the winter blackouts, an Odesa company that sold charging stations, batteries, and other equipment concealed sales worth tens of millions of hryvnias. According to the investigation, the budget lost more than UAH 15 million in taxes due to the actions of the company's director.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Law enforcement officers submitted to the court an indictment against the head of a company that sells goods in Ukraine. The woman is suspected of tax evasion on a particularly large scale.

The investigation found that the company imported products from abroad and sold them to Ukrainian firms during the period of massive power outages. The goods included charging stations, batteries, hybrid inverters and electric scooters.

According to law enforcement officers, the executive deliberately failed to report the sale of products to one of the companies worth more than UAH 90 million. These included hundreds of charging stations, batteries, and nearly 1,200 electric scooters.

The director also failed to register tax invoices and to enter the necessary data in the VAT return for March 2026, after which she submitted the documents to the tax authorities.

As a result, the state budget lost more than UAH 15 million in taxes. During the pre-trial investigation, the company reimbursed the damages along with fines.

In April, the BES detectives in Odesa region exposed an entrepreneur who organized a tax evasion scheme by splitting up his business. The suspect sold flowers through a network of retail and wholesale stores. It was established that in order to understate income and preserve the simplified taxation system, he formally registered relatives, acquaintances and employees as individual entrepreneurs who did not actually carry out independent activities.
